ALBANY – Thomas William Tobin, 55, of Albany, passed away on Thursday December 24, 2009 after a 14 month battle with esophageal cancer.
He was a man who loved everyone and always put others before himself. Tom had many friends and family who loved and adored him. He was a very dedicated employee at Suny @ Albany for 29 years. Tom loved to dance until he couldn't move any more. He will be remembered for always being in good spirits. Ton enjoyed taking cruises every year with his friends until not being able to join them this year.
Tom was the greatest father in the world and he is survived by his five children, Marie (Daniel) Ginter and Brandi (Marty) Tobin of Schenectady; Charlene (Tommy) Tobin of Watervliet, Adam Tobin of Albany and Michelle (George) Conklin of Albany. He is the grandfather of Sarah, Christopher, Makailah, Trinity, George and Christian. He is the brother of Elizabeth, Doris, Sally, Joyce and James. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Marie Tobin, his step mother Alma Thompson and his grand daughter Bella Rose. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
