Albany - Thomas J. Wagoner, 71, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Thomas was the son of the late Fred and Mary Agnes Sullivan Wagoner.
Tom was a beloved father, grandfather, godfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a big guy with an even bigger heart. He had an infectious smile, a great sense of humor, and was loved by all who knew him. Tom was always there to support his family and friends with whatever they needed, whenever they needed it.
Tom retired as a Pressman from the Times Union where he worked for over 45 years. He enjoyed playing cards (especially pinochle), going to casinos, reading about history, being with family, and making everyone around him laugh.
Tom is survived by his children, Paul Wagoner and Lindsey Wagoner; grandchildren, Jessie, Corban, Sanjulo, and Elijah; siblings, Sarah (the late George) Cavanaugh, John (the late Ginny) Wagoner, David (LouAnn) Wagoner, Linda (the late Al) Dwyer, Carl Peryea, Deborah (Robert Howansky) Wagoner, Joseph (Jan) Dugan, and Donald (Dawn) Dugan; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Tom is predeceased by his daughter, Jennifer, and his siblings: Fred, Stephen, Charles and Henry Wagoner, and Kathryn Bennett.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 4, 2022 at 10:30 am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals. Interment will follow the service at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watervliet.
