Timothy E. Smith

August 29, 1952 — September 5, 2012

Timothy E. Smith, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 5, 2012. He was born to the late Edward Leland and Helen Smith. He is a 1970 graduate of Colonie Central High School. He was the owner/operator of Capital Region Courier and Fast Freight in Ballston Lake and spent many years as sales manager for several area car dealerships. Tim enjoyed hunting and the great outdoors. He worked hard to insure a good life for his family.

Tim is survived by his loving wife for over 27 years, Nancy Towsley Smith. He is the cherished father of Daniel Smith and Tracy Neubauer, the brother of Diane (Walter) Klaas and Thomas (Sandy) Smith. He is also survived by his goddaughter Triscia Klaas and several other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Tribute Program PO Box 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38148-0142.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 10th at 11:00 am at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Road, Clifton Park, NY 12065. Entombment will follow the Mass in St. Agnes Cemetery (Menands). The family will hold calling hours on Sunday, September 9th from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie.
