Timothy Gray (1986 - 2023) With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Timothy Gray on November 10, 2023. Born in Albany, New York, on May 19, 1986, Timothy was the beloved son of Raedene "Rae" Gray of Guilderland and James Gray (Terri) of Saratoga, his cherished brother Joshua Gray of Albany and beloved sister Brandae Ellis of Amsterdam. He will also be missed by his paternal grandmother, Patricia Gray.
Tim is predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Dean Gray and his maternal grandmother, June Lucas.
After growing up in Guilderland, Timothy moved to Boston, where he flourished in a career in technology sales. Timothy's life was marked by a profound love for adventure and exploration, evidenced by his numerous travels that enriched his understanding of the world. His passion for discovery was paralleled by his love for sports and music.
An avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Miami Dolphins, Timothy also found great joy in music, embracing everything from rock and heavy metal to country. Concerts and sports events were more than just pastimes; they were opportunities for him to connect with friends and family, creating lasting memories.
At the heart of Timothy's world was his beloved dog, Chesney, a symbol of his unwavering love and kindness. Their bond was a true reflection of Timothy's compassionate nature. Above all, Timothy's life was anchored by his deep love for his family and friends.
He was a beacon of joy and laughter at family gatherings, deeply treasured by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, Patrick Spain, Joseph Spain, Christopher Spain, David Spain and Jacob Spain, and endless circle of friends. As we bid farewell to Timothy, we hold onto the legacy of love, kindness, and the joyous spirit he shared with us all. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the ASPCA in honor of Timothy and his dear Chesney.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 6th at 10am at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave, Albany, NY 12203. There will be a gathering following the mass at a local restaurant in Albany.
