COLONIE – Travis Carson, 88, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, surrounded by his family. Born in New York City, he was the son of the late James and Pauline Carson. Travis received his Bachelor's Degree from City College of New York and served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Okinawa. He was a civil engineer, retiring from the New York State Dept. of Transportation. Travis is the beloved husband of Gertrude Estelle Carson. He is the devoted father of Charles Carson and his wife, Jane, Linda McIntyre and her husband, Jimmy, Nancy Padula and her husband, Frank and the late Brian Carson. He is the cherished grandfather of Joshua, Avery and Caleb Padula and Benjamin McIntyre.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 or St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 49 Killean Park, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Travis Carson.
