Udo Udo Okure, Jr.

Udo Udo Okure Jr, 56, passed away on September 13, 2014. He was born in Nigeria on September 26, 1958. He was the third son of five children of late Chief Udo Udo Okure. He grew up in Enugu, Nigeria and attended All Saints School and WTC Practicing primary School, Enugu and attended Government College, Umuahia where he completed his high school. He gained admission to study architectural engineering at Kansas State University in the USA and later relocated to Albany, NY to complete his studies in HVCC and SUNY, Albany where he obtained a bachelor's degree.

He worked for a number of private firms in Albany including Laberge engineering as a computer-aided drafting (CAD) specialist. Until his death, he worked for the NYS DOT. Udo Udo was married and later divorced to Suzanne Scott of Rochester New York. They had no children.

He is survived by his siblings, Mrs. Helene Bassey (Nigeria), Christopher Okure (UK), Tom Okure (Albany, New York), and other relatives.

Funeral services will be on Friday at 10:30 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
