SCHENECTADY – Valeria Czech, 81, went to meet the Lord on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Lillian and John Spiewak.
Known to many as "Va," she enjoyed reading, gardening, Hershey Kisses and watching CSI and NCIS. She loved tigers and the Pillsbury Dough Boy.
Along with her parents, Va was predeceased by her husband of 33 years, Chester Czech.
She will be missed by her daughters Kathleen V. Colose and Bonnie A. Czech; brother Thomas Spiewak; sister Martha Huto, and nephews Christopher Spiewak, Daniel Spiewak, Keith Spiewak and John Huto.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am Wednesday at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 9:30 to 11:30 am at the funeral home.
