Valerie M. Gibson

Valerie M. Gibson, 63, of Albany New York passed away peacefully on Friday, March 3, 2023 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital with her loving family by her side. Valerie is the daughter of the late James and Vivian (Davis) Gibson.

Valerie was born and raised in the City of Albany where she obtained her education from. Valerie maintained long term employement with the State of New York ECON Department. Valerie enjoyed spending time with and cooking for her entire family.

Valerie is survived by her children; Warand G. Turner Jr. and Crystal Gibson. Grandson; Ulijah Gibson, Granddaughters Za'mari Turner and Cesaera Gibson, Sister; Mary (Michael) Gibson-Bowman, Brothers; Robert (Colleen) Gibson and David Gibson, along with a host of nieces, nephews and a bunch of other loved ones who she truly loved and appreciated. Valerie was predeceased by her brother James (Ann) Gibson.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie, NY 12205 on Friday March 10, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Graceland Cemetery where Valerie will be laid to rest with her mother.
