ALBANY- Vasiliki Samara, 88, of Albany, formerly of Greece, passed away on Tuesday December 4, 2007 at the Inn of Community Hospice at St. Peters Hospital.
She was born in Mytilini, Greece and was the daughter of the late Demetries and Victoria Koucha. Vasiliki was predeceased by her husband Foti Samara and her son Panayoiti Samara. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter Victoria (Spiro) Lembesis; her grandchildren, Vasil Lembesis, Maria (Greg) Sokaris and Foti Samara. She is the great grandmother of Alexander, Spiro, John and Dean Sokaris.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10:00 at St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church, Whitehall Rd. Albany. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New karner Rd. Albany NY 12205 in memory of Vasiliki Samara.
