Vera Green, 72, passed away to be with the eternal Father on April 24, 2014.
Vera was born November 26, 1941, in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, and is the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Myrtle (Griffiths) Barnes.
She immigrated to the United States with her family, moving to the Albany area and began working for Albany Medical Center until her retirement in 1994.
She loved spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Vera is survived by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Eric R. Green; she is the cherished mother of Sharon and Conroy. She is also survived by several grandchildren and other close family and friends.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 26 Wilson Ave., Albany. Calling hours will precede the service from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the church. Interment will follow the service in Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
