COLONIE– Vera L. Briggs, 83, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Eddy Heritage House in Troy.
Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Laurina Schenmeyer.
Vera enjoyed traveling, going to the ocean, and lighthouses. She was a devoted caregiver to her family.
Vera is survived by her loving children, Paul T. Briggs, Scott W. Briggs, Donna L. Tedesco, and Holly (Edward) Hake; eight loving grandchildren, and three cherished great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Thomas C. Briggs; three brothers and two sisters.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Eddy Heritage House for all of their loving and devoted care given to Vera.
Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Eddy Heritage House, 2920 Tibbits Ave. Troy, NY 12180 in memory of Vera L. Briggs.
