Verne Harold King

WESTMERE – Verne Harold King, 18, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 1, 2007. Verne was born on January 18, 1989 in Niskayuna to Stephen J. and Kim M. Tybush King.
Verne was a junior at Guilderland Central High School where he was on the track and cross country teams. He played in the Pinebush Little League and Babe Ruth. An avid bowler, Verne bowled with the Altamont Jr. Bowlers and the Westlawn Jr. Program. He enjoyed camping at Indian Lake, NY, movies and video games, was an avid Yankees fan and Cowboys fan and loved animals, especially "Rocky". Verne was a kind hearted, sweet and loving person.
In addition to his loving parents, Verne is survived by his sister, Katherine A. King and her finance, Jeff Wells; his brother, Ryan T. King; his paternal grandmother, Kathleen T. King; his maternal grandmother, Vicky Dickson-Brignola; his aunt, Sandra J. (William) Felthousen and her children, Kristen and Laurel; his aunt, Donna M. (John) King-Royal and her children, Cara C. Remmert, Lucas E. (Lindsay) Remmert, Christopher B. (Stephanie) Remmert, Jonta T. Royal, Davon M. Royal, Helena T. Royal and Vashan Z. Collins; and his extended family from Indian Lake, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Christ the King Church, Guilderland. Interment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Calling hours at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The parish family of Christ the King will gather at 4:00 p.m. on Monday for a service of prayer and remembrance at the funeral home. All are welcome.
