Verona E. Weaver Kehn, 92, wife of the late Joseph J. Kehn, Sr. of Troy passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023 at her home with her family in Halfmoon.
Born, September 1, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late Roy Weaver and May Durin Weaver. As an infant during the depression she was placed into a Catholic orphanage in Rensselaer.
She had many hobbies such as Bingo and Bowling Leagues her entire adult life. She was also a Powder Puff Derby Driver way back in the day.
She is survived by her three children, daughter; Ismay Kehn Ashley Garmley and her wife Dawn "Squirrel" Garmley of Halfmoon, son, Gerald Kehn Sr. of Brunswick and son, Joseph Kehn Jr. of Ballston Spa.
She will also be missed by her eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Joseph Sr. she was predeceased by her brother Gerald Weaver of Troy and her sister Roberta Weaver of Louisville, KY.
Friends may come and join our families for a celebration of life in Verona's name at the Clifton Park Fire Department, Old State Rte 146 in Clifton Park on Sunday, March 19th, 2023 from 2pm-6pm. Come share your stories of Verona with us all together.
