Veronica Vendetti

SCHENECTADY – Veronica Jean (Buemi) Vendetti, 88, passéd away on Wednesday April 27, 2005 at Ellis Hospital. She was born in Piqua, OH and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Jennie Buemi. Veronica attended Schenectady schools and has been resident of the city since her early childhood. She was married in 1935 to Joseph J. Vendetti. During the 1960's and 70's, Veronica was employed as a sales clerk at Nusbaum's Clothing and later as a hostess at Pelops' Restaurant in downtown Schenectady.
She was predeceased in 1994 by her husband Joseph and also by her siblings, Carmella Buemi, Josephine Valentine and Joseph Buemi.
Veronica is survived by her son, Russell (Roberta) Vendetti of Rotterdam; her sister Helen Baestlein of Guilderland; three grandchildren, John Vendetti, Nancy Tillman and Joseph (Jennifer) Vendetti; three great grandchildren, Brennan, Alexandra and Nadia Vendetti; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the C-5 nursing staff of Ellis Hospital and the staff of Community Hospice for all of their care and concern.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308.
