ALBANY
After a long courageous illness, Veronica Turner-Washington, affectionately known as "Cookie," departed this life into the arms of her Savior at the Albany Medical Center Hospital on Monday, June 12, 2017. She was born on April 11, 1964 in Catskill, to the late Reverend Frank Turner, Sr. and Betty Lou Ivey. She leaves to "celebrate her life and legacy," her children, Dozier, DaJae, Djoser Washington and Sadea Whitaker; two loving granddaughters, Kamira and Kemirah Washington: her siblings: Brenda Williams of Chesterfield, VA: Priscilla Uzzell, Clifford Tarver, Frank Turner, Jr., Alan Turner, Willard Wakefiled, Katonya Wall, all of Albany.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 441 Washington Ave, Albany; Viewing will be from 9 a.m. until 11am with the Celebration Service starting at 11 a.m., Reverend William E. Morgan, Officiating.
