Veronica E. Zimmerman

Veronica (Ronnie) Zimmerman, 93 wife of Harold (Bud) Zimmerman died peacefully on February 14th, 2022.

Born August 25th, 1928 in Albany, NY. She was the daughter of John and Margaret Daley.

Veronica attended Blessed Sacrament Grammer school and graduated from Vincentian Institute. She worked for the telephone company and was the book keeper for the family business Zimmerman Shell. Ronnie was an active member of Christ the King Parish as a choir member and was active with the building of the new church facility. Ronnie also cooked and served meals at the Albany soup kitchen. She also sponsored several charitable organizations.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Particularly the group known as the secret seven. She loved traveling, long rides and summer with her family at Sacandaga. Ronnie will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile, gentle soul and loving nature. All who met her were forever changed for the better.

Ronnie was predeceased by her husband, sisters Joan, Regina and Rose. Survived by her brother, Father James Daley. Her sons Mark (Peg), Greg (Jocelyn) and Gery, daughters Jean (Tim Barnard) and Lisa(Steve Lemme), 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

There will be a viewing Monday February 21st, 2022 at Christ the King church 20 Sumter Ave Westmere NY. From 9-11AM. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Burial at St. Agnes Cemetery located in Menands NY. Online condolences may be expressed at www.NewComerAlbany.com
