Victor Carrero

ALBANY- Victor M. Carrero, 66, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017 surrounded by the love of his family.

Victor was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on October 17, 1950, to the late Gumersindo Carrero and Restituta Soto Roman. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his military service he began his career as a cook, where he worked at many different restaurants in the Capital District. At the time of his death he worked for St. Peter's Hospital. Victor was a parishioner of New Horizons Christian Church for over ten years where he served as an usher.

Victor is survived by his beloved partner, Donna White, his children, Victor M. Carrero Jr, Esly C. Carrero-Stampek, Kaity M. Carrero-Jones, Katrina Victoria Carrero, Anthony J. Carrero, and William F. Carrero, his sister, Edith(Mizraim Esquilin) Carrero, 11 grandchildren, and a host of family, friends, nieces and nephews .

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 12:00pm-3:00pm with a service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Saratoga National Cemetery.
