Victor Eli Smith

SCHENECTADY – Victor Eli Smith, 53, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, March 15, 2008. He was born in Roswell, New Mexico on November 19, 1954 to Rosalie (Backus) Smith and the late Philip A. Smith. He attended Edmeston Central School, Edmeston, NY and was most recently employed by Nationwide Maintenance Service, Inc. and Freihofer Baking Co.
In addition to his mother, Victor is survived by his sisters, Gloria (Scott) Dougrey of Clifton Park, and Joyce (Timothy) Loomis of Jermyn, Pennsylvania; his brothers, Duke (Aida) Smith of Acworth, Georgia, Mark (Susan) Smith of Johnstown, NY and Roy Smith of Missouri and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind, his special friend, Teri Steeley and other friends he has met along his journey through life.
The family will receive friends and loved ones for a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.).
