Victoria Harris

SCHENECTADY-Victoria M. Harris, 71, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Harris was born in Durham, NC, the daughter of the late Harry L. and Retha (White) Caldwell. She resided in the Schenectady area most of her life, and was the owner of Children's Place Daycare for over 20 years. She was a church mother at Consecration Temple, and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved spending time with her family, shopping and decorating her home.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years Raymond Harris; her children Anthony (Deborah) Jones of E. Greenbush, Aretha (James) Jones, Crystal Sontag, Yolanda (Alonzo) Harris all of Schenectady and Reggie (Mary) Harris of Maryland. She also leaves behind her siblings Roberta Thompson, Nellie, Nina, Herman, Charlie and Price Caldwell, all of Albany; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter Sabrina Jones, and siblings Annie Leigh, Mary Nicholson and James Caldwell.
Calling hours will be held from 10 am to 12 pm on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at the Wilborn Temple, 121 Jay St. Albany, NY 12210, funeral service to follow at 12 pm at the church.
Interment at Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
