Victoria E. Mirabile Ragone
August 3, 1920 — November 11, 2021
COLONIE- Victoria Elizabeth Mirabile Ragone, a lifelong Colonie resident passed into eternal life at home with her family by her side on November 11, 2021 after living 101 plus wonderful years. Vicky married Thomas P. Ragone, Sr. on September 5, 1943 and they enjoyed 70 years of a cherished marriage. Now they will re-unite again in Heaven.
Vicky became a hairdresser at age 17 and proudly served many clients of Colonie and Albany for over 50 years, starting at The Charm Salon, then opening an in-home salon and then Cutters III Salon in Colonie.
Vicky and Tom enjoyed winter months in Florida and summer months on The Great Sacandaga Lake. They especially loved spending time with their family of 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She attended Blessed Sacrament Church of Albany along with her niece Nickie Barone. She happily spent many countless hours crocheting beautiful baby blankets for the church. She also loved cooking for everyone, especially for her grandsons.
Vicky came from a family of 9 children. She is survived by her youngest sibling, Ellen Gregory; her loving children: Judy Ragone Guthrie (Duane), Kris Ragone Brennan (Wally) and Thomas P. Ragone, Jr. (the late Joyce); grandchildren: Gale Kerr (David) Gerilynn Berben, James Guthrie (Jane), Scott Ragone (Hillary), Nicholas Ragone (Lindsay), and AJ Ragone (Emily) and adored great-grandchildren: Devyn, Reese and Jordon Kerr, Chase and Brooke Jepson, Sofia and Leo Guthrie, Tanner and Nolan Ragone. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. A service will follow at 12 Noon. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
Contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made in memory of Victoria E. Ragone to Community Hospice Foundation, 310 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
