Vida M. Bushey, 92, of Colonie, passed away on December 21, 2017 at the Teresian House with her loving family by her side.
Born in Albany, Vida was the daughter of the late Michael and Rachel (Carcia)Sforza. Loving wife of the late John A. Bushey. Dearest mother of Donna M. Chesney (George) and Debra A. Oropallo (Michael). Cherished grandmother of Tory Carmen (Thomas), Crystal Jones (Anthony) Courtney Gray (John) and Drew Chesney (Julia) and great grandmother of Kayley, EJ, Dominic, Dawson, Luciana and Emily. Also survived by a brother, Stephen Sforza (Ellen) of Florida, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and cousins. She was the sister-in-law of Maureen and James Bushey.
For many years Vida was a self employed hairdresser and operated her own business from her home.
She enjoyed traveling the world with friends and also enjoyed annual trips to Las Vegas. Vida was a constant fixture at St. Francis de Sales Parish and continued to be with the new formation of Christ Our Light Catholic Church. You could always find her in the kitchen for social activities.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Wednesday, December 27th at 11 a.m. at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville. Calling hours will precede the mass from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Interment will follow the mass in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
