LOUDONVILLE, NY – Vincent (Jim) Marino of Loudonville, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2008. He was born on July 23, 1911 in Leominster, MA. Mr. Marino was a U.S. Army veteran serving his country from 1944 until 1946 in World War II. Vincent's employment history included L. Newhoff and Son from 1938-1947, Albany Car Wheel Co. from 1947-1963, Portec, Inc. from 1963-1978 and Albany County from 1978-1983. He was an active communicant of St. Pius X Church in Loudonville for 53 years. Vincent is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Margaret (Coleman) Marino. He is the father of Ann (Howard) Picard of Clifton Park and Karen (Stephen) Wisely of Liverpool, NY. He is the grandfather of Kevin Wisely, Timothy (Denise) Wisely, Jeffrey (Michele) Wisely, Lori (David) Wayand, James (Amy) Picard, Joseph (Theresa) Picard, Michael (Amanda) Picard and Amy (Mark) Langevin. Also surviving are 26 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend The Liturgy of the Word on Saturday morning at 10:00 at St. Pius X Church. Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Entombment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 1 Marcus Blvd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Vincent Marino.
