ALBANY – Vincent R. Torre Sr., 57, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Albany Medical Center Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Vincent was born in Albany on June 22, 1955 and was the son of the late Vincent John and Helen Marie (Carey) Torre. He was a maintenance worker for Albany County Nursing Home in Colonie for 30 years, before retiring in 2010. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, and scratch-offs, but most especially spending time with his family and friends.
Vincent is survived by his children, Lou Ann (Ronald) Bryce, Victoria P. (Al) Bellao, Vincent R. (Lynn) Torre Jr., and Grace R. Maffei; his sisters, Gloria Hill, Mary (Gregg) Teasdale, and Patricia (Rigo) Balls-Suarez; his grandchildren, Michelle, Carrie, Damien, Rhonda, Trinity, Shamus, and Constance; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Judy M. (Chevalier) Torre; his brother, Dominick Torre, and his grandson, Nelson.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
