Viola "Vicky" Culnan, 58, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Albany Medical Center Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Vicky was born in Schenectady to Ida (Willie) and the late Albert John Scott, Jr. She worked for New York State, was a member of the Scotia-Glenville Elks and Moose Clubs, and spent the last 9 years traveling between Saratoga and the Florida Keys with her husband, John Culnan. Always "on the road again", Vicky enjoyed the Saratoga Race Track and kayaking and fishing in the Keys. Vicky was an instant friend to so many as she shared her artistic talents and home-made treats with all she met. Vicky especially enjoyed spending time with her two dogs, Kelsey and Daffy.
In addition to her mother, Vicky is survived by her beloved husband and best friend, John Culnan; her children; Jennifer, Sonja and Tracey. She is the loving sister-in-law of Patricia, and the loving grandmother of, Megan, Alyssa and Chaz. She is the sister of Linda and Albert, and is also survived by several other relatives and many close friends.
Relatives and friends are invited and may attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 9:00am at St. Clare's Church, Colonie. Calling hours will be Monday from 5 to 8 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (rt. 155-South of Central Ave). Burial will be at the privacy of the family.
