Viola Deso

Deso, Viola Deso ALBANY – Viola Deso, 99, passed away peacefully at home on October 5, 2023. Born on April 8, 1924 in Herkimer, NY. She grew up in Albany and enjoyed a career in hairdressing.

She was the loving daughter of Rocco and Antoniette Casullo. Viola was predeceased by her parents, brothers, sister, daughter Diana, grandson Guy and husband Anthony Deso.

Viola is survived by her daughter Antoniette Smith; grandchildren Antoniette C Smith and Dennis Nopper; her grandson John Hitchcock Sr. and his wife Lori Hitchcock; her great grandchildren Karista Hitchcock and John Hitchcock Jr. and his wife Leona; and son-in-law Wayne Ragone.

Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 11am to 1pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner, Colonie, NY 12205. A Catholic funeral service will begin at 1pm with entombment following at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Viola's name to The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204.
