Albany- Viola M. McKosky (Miecznikowski), 96, of Albany, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at St. Peters Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Maryanna Krajewska Miecznikowski.
Viola had worked as an account clerk with Paramount Pictures in Albany for many years before working for New York State Taxation and Finance for 29 years, retiring several years ago. She was an avid bowler and was a member of the Polish Citizens Club Ladies Auxillary. Expressions of sympathy may be amde to Newcomerfamily.com
Viola is the sister of the late Ferdinand, Henry, Benedict, Peter and Mary Miecznikowski, Betty Dasis, Genevieve Krayzak, and Alice Repko. She is the beloved aunt of Peter Miecznikowski, Michael Mezz, Linda Palmer, Lisa Mezz , Robert Miecznikowski and several other nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10:00 at St. Pius X Church, Loudonville. A calling hour will precede the service from 8:30 to 9:30 on Wednesday morning at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
