Viola A. Stefanacci, 86, of Colonie passed away peacefully on Friday evening November 14, 2014 at Ellis Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born September 17, 1928 in the Bronx, NY, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Frances Breneich Morita.
Viola worked for many years as a secretary for James H. Maloy, Inc. in Loudonville. She was a longtime member with her husband of the Crescent Boat Club in Rexford, NY. Viola loved to garden, enjoyed car rides to Saratoga Lake, Lake George and the Yaddo Gardens in Saratoga Springs, NY and enjoyed her yearly winter trips to her home in Haines City, FL.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 61 years James Stefanacci, Sr of Colonie; son James Stefanacci, Jr of Colonie; daughters Joan Stefanacci of Scotia and Jean Kennan (David) of Schenectady; sister Ruth Steeley of Putnam County, NY; grandchildren Samantha Nicole, Mia Louise and Lily Maria and longtime friend Madeline Smith. Viola is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her four sisters Anna, Gertrude, Mary and Francine.
A memorial service to celebrate Viola's life will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 7 P.M. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home 343 New Karner Road Albany, NY. Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held from 4 P.M. until the time of service on Wednesday.
