SCHENECTADY – Violet A. Finch, 85, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Edward M. and Ella Mae Chase and wife of the late Edward Finch. Violet was an avid bingo player and especially enjoyed watching John Wayne movies.
She is survived by her children, Linda Chase, Eric Finch and Randy Finch; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Violet was predeceased by thirteen brothers and sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of Violet A. Finch.
