Virgina Watkins

COLONIE – Virginia L. Watkins, 74, of Colonie, passed away on Thursday February 24, 2005 after a long illness. She was born in Cobleskill and was one of nine children to the late Stanley and Lulu Shaffer Sample.
Virginia's life centered around raising her children and caring for her family. She was predeceased in 1997 by her husband Alfred J. Watkins Jr. She is the beloved mother of William Watkins, Kathleen Pollock, Cynthia Evers, Steven Watkins and Michael Watkins. She is the sister of Florence Potts, Shirley Albright, Rodger, Gerald, James and Marvin Sample and the late Robert and Stanley Sample Jr. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends re invited and may call on Monday evening from 5 to 8 pm at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Memorial contributions may be made to Capital District Dialysis Center, 650 McClellan Street, Schenectady, NY 12304 in memory of Virginia L. Watkins.
