Virginia A. Parker

Albany- Virginia A. Parker, 82, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 20, 2007. Born in Silver Creek, NY she was the daughter of the late Mark and Nettie. Virginia was a graduate of the Bryant and Stratton Business College in Buffalo, NY. She had worked for Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation in Dunkirk, NY, Pineview Preschool - Pineview Community Church in Albany and also Bellevue Woman's Hospital in Niskayuna, retiring in March of 2007.
Virginia is survived by her children, Barbara Dietzel and her husband Roy of Colonie, David Parker and his wife Becky of Winston Salem, NC and John Parker and his wife Rebecca of Schenectady. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jonathan, Michael, Melissa, David and Andrea.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
