Virginia M. Brennan, 88, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2023 at the Masonic Care Community in Utica, NY.
Born May 8, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Gritsch and Marville Smith.
Virginia spent most of her life in the Albany area and was an graduate of Albany College of Pharmacy in 1958. In 1990, she received an Outstanding Alumni Award for her services in the Profession of Medical Technology. Later in life, she would retire to Utica, NY to be closer to her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Alice Ferruzzi (Matthew); brother, Russell Gritsch and a host of nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, from 11AM-1PM, with a service to immediately follow at 1PM. Burial will follow the services at Mountain View Cemetery, Castleton-on-Hudson, NY.
