Click here to view ServiceVirginia L. Bullock, 77, passed away next to her daughter on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Born in Albany she was the daughter of the late Walter W. Allen and Virginia B. (Overby) Allen. Virginia is predeceased by her husband of 46 years, John G. Bullock Jr.
Virginia is survived by her daughter Carletta N. Collins; grandchildren, Tatianna T. Gibson, DaJour M. Gibson; great grandchild, Anton K. Bell III.
At an early age of 16, Virginia decided she was going to be a model. He modeling career lasted until she became an LPN, then moved on to become an RN, then Administrator when she retired. Virginia was known state wide working in the Mental Health Administrator. She began her career at Daughters of Sarah as a LPN. After earning her bachelors degree, Virginia worked for CDPC and then Four Winds. She then began to be recruited to St. Mary's in Amsterdam where as an administrator for over 30 years before retiring. Virginia enjoyed traveling as well as shopping, reading, Sci-Fi, action comedy movies, especially Madea. Her favorite past time was going to casinos. She was a stickler for education & bettering yourself. She gave wholeheartedly without being asked. If something needed to be done, she was on it without any expectations in return & without the parties involved knowing. "You'll receive your blessings" is what she would always say. She was well known for her humorous sarcasm & always had a life lesson to share. Virginia loved to laugh & made her mark on all she encountered. She loved her only precious child Carletta, grandchildren & her great-grandson AJ dearly.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 11am-1230pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals 343 New Karner, Road, Colonie, NY 12205. A memorial service will begin at 12:30pm.
