COLONIE_Virginia F. Layman, 68, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 2, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on April 20, 1947 daughter of the late Theodore and Josephine (Piechnik) Zembrzuski in Albany.
Ginny was a loving wife to her late husband Carl for 40 years and mother to her 3 children and their spouses "the outlaws". Those who knew and loved her will always remember all of the ways she made them smile and laugh. Carrying her pliers and her fishing lures in her purse she was always ready to set up by the water for some fishing. She enjoyed camping, gardening, playing BINGO and many family vacations.
She is survived by beloved dog, Zem's Lil' Rascal...and her children, Robert (Dawn) Layman, Tori (Trevor) Normandin, James (Allana) Layman, her brother Ted (Kathy Coughlin) Zembrzuski, grandchildren, Hunter, Kendra, Mason, Bethany, Briana, Callan and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 4 to 7 pm at New Comer Funeral Home in Colonie. A funeral for Ginny will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 11am, at New Comer Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Saratoga National Cemetery.
