Virginia Govel

COLONIE – Virginia "Ginny" Govel, 81, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Gustav and Genevieve Rohrmiller. She lived in Colonie for almost sixty years. Ginny was the beloved wife of the late Robert Govel. She is the devoted mother of Karen (Michael) McDermott and Robert (Renae) Govel and the cherished grandmother of Jordan and Danielle Govel and Casey, Delaney and Darby McDermott. Also surviving is her great-grandson, Ryley. Ginny will also be missed by her faithful canine companion, "Gigi."
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 or to the charity of one's choice in memory of Virginia Govel.
