Virginia Norris

ALBANY, NY – Virginia H. Norris, of Albany and Schroon Lake, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2007. She was born in Albany on December 28, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Josephine Hettinger. Virginia was a graduate of Vincentian Institute, Class of 1941 and was employed with New York State and the City of Albany. Virginia and her husband, John enjoyed many years of retirement with their family at their home on Schroon Lake. Virginia was the beloved wife of the late John C. Norris. She is the devoted mother of Frank R. (Janet) Norris, and Michael J. (Karen) Norris, both of Guilderland and Mark P. (Laurie) Norris of Albany. She is the cherished grandmother of William J. (Jacquelyn) Norris of Albany, Shannon N. (Travis) Sansone of Rotterdam, Cheryl Norris of New Milford, CT, Michael J. Norris, Jr. of Chicago, IL and Timothy P. Norris of Albany. She is the great-grandmother of Aidan J. Norris of Albany. In addition to her husband, Virginia was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Hettinger.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, Guilderland. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to Schroon Lake Fire Dept., Cedar Hill Drive, Schroon Lake, NY 12870 in memory of Virginia H. Norris
