Virginia R. Flood

ALBANY – Virginia R. Gondek Flood, 78, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness. Ginny was the beloved wife of the late Richard Gondek and Michael Flood. She is the devoted mother of Lori (Douglas) Meredith, Thomas (Nola) Gondek and Shirlee (Craig) Stevenson. She is the cherished grandmother of Todd and Julie Meredith, Andrew and Christopher Gondek and Geoffrey, Daniel, Timothy and Shelby Stevenson. Ginny is the loving sister of Helen Arndt and Donald (Kathy) Greis. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to Community Hospice of Rensselaer, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144 or the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of Virginia R. Gondek Flood.
