September 29, 1930 — February 20, 2024

Vivian T. Farragher, 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at home with her loving family by her side.

Vivian was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Teresa (Cordaro) Milazzo.

She was born in Manhattan Hospital, NYC., and grew up in St. Albans, Queens, NY.

She was the devoted wife to the late James Farragher. They were married for 18 years.

She was a graduate of Andrew Jackson H.S., Class of 1948

She was employed by NY Telephone, in Freeport, and Wantagh, N.Y.

Vivian was a member and a communicant of Maria Regina Church, Seaford, NY.

Vivian enjoyed spending time with her entire family and loved cooking for them.

She loved to garden and took great pride in her home in Seaford, Long Island.

In addition to her parents and her husband James, she was predeceased by her 2nd husband, Mike Schmidt, her son John Farragher, and two sisters, Jane Carubia, and Theresa Eberhardt

Vivian is survived by her sons, James (Karen), Patrick (Amy), Michael (Monica), and Raymond (Ginny) Farragher, her daughter-in-law Annette(John), grandchildren Kimberly, Kristine, Danielle, Kelly, Quinn, James, Dylan, Christopher, Matthew, Patrick, Collin, and 13 great -grand children. She is also survived by her brother Raymond Milazzo, and nieces Roseanne, Rosalie, Theresa, and Laura, nephews , John, Keith, and Raymond.

A celebration of life will be held on Long Island at a later date.

The Family would like to thank the Community Hospice for their care and compassion, especially Nurse Jane Knoll.
