Vivian M. Hemingway went on to meet her lord and savior on February 1, 2021. She was born in Latta SC to Henry Timmons Sr. & Nellie (Weaver) Timmons.
Vivian was pre-deceased by her daughters: Vivian Bailey-Dalton, Patricia White & Claudette Bouldin and survived by her adopted daughter June Pope. She was the loving mother/grandmother of Tayari Holt (Cara) & their children: Tayari Holt & Vashan Holt; and grandmother to Avory Watson, Sherri Dewitt (Jackie), Hyman Bailey, Jr (Jessica), Tyiesha Edge, Krystal Skervin (Jamael), Albree Bailey (Sarah), Scottie Bibbs, Leroy Dalton, Jr. (Moriah), Shana Pope & Crystal Pope. She is also survived by and a host of nieces, nephews and great grandchildren including her special angel Avoryonna Watson.
Vivian is also remembered fondly by the many friends, neighbors and coworkers she has touched over the years, acting as a confidant and support to many who knew and loved her.
Vivian retired from working in the kitchen at St Peter's Hospital but also worked at the Stratton VA and Daughters of Sarah. She loved her grandchildren immensely and will be remembered affectionately for her strength and kindness.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Community Hospice, Attentive Care & Women's Cancer Care Center at St. Peter's for the support & love they provided Vivian in the last years of her life.
Visitations will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home beginning at 2:00 pm.
Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
