Galway- Vivian Joyce Nolan, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 26, 2021 with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Ruth Book. Vivian devoted her life to being a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
After graduating high school, Vivian worked many different jobs, including being a bookkeeper for Judge Jerome, at GE for 20 years, as an office manager with City Automotive and worked at Manheim Auctions for over 20 years. She was also a waitress at many local places.
Vivian was a proud member of Christ Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved cooking for them. Vivian loved to make Amish bread for everyone. She flew planes, drove a motorcycle (owned a Triumph), she enjoyed stock car racing, fishing, painting, drawing, riding horses (she owned her own), water skiing, Broadway musicals and she loved the New York Mets!
Vivian is survived by her Son, James E. (Shannon) Nolan , Sr.; grandson, James E. Nolan, Jr.; granddaughter, Peyton M. Nolan; great-granddaughters, Makayla Nolan and Eleanor Nolan; and great-grandson, James E. Nolan the third.
Due to occupancy restrictions, a private ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Memory Gardens in their chapel. Family and friends are invited to attend the graveside service following the service in the chapel at 11:30pm.
