In Loving Memory of Vlorian M. Bernardino
June 17, 2012- December 07, 2024
It’s funny how we often take for granted life’s simplest gifts- kindness, laughter, and sharing- yet these were the very values Vlo lived by every single day. Born on a summer day, Vlo’s heart overflowed with love, always ready to share a smile or lend a hand to those around him. Whether it was playing sports, spending time with his friends and family, or simply making the most of every moment, Vlo’s energy and joy never ceased to brighten the world.
Vlo was surrounded by the love of his parents; Tenfy and Melvin. Together, they nurtured his adventurous spirit, joyful heart, and deep love for family. He was also a loving brother to Kpaul, Melovy, Maria, Julia, Melva, Melo, Manny, Carmel, and Michael and a proud uncle to his nephew, Leonidas. To his siblings, Vlo was both a partner in mischief and a compass in wisdom, always ready to offer love and laughter in equal measure. He had a special bond with the family's beloved cats, Eh Thaw, Nukumaj, Naiomi, and Panda, who brought him endless joy and companionship. He also leaves behind countless friends who will forever remember his contagious smile and his knack for making everyone feel special.
Vlo’s love for sports knew no boundaries. Soccer, basketball, volleyball, football, and baseball, were just a few of the ways he expressed his boundless energy. No matter the weather, rain or snow, Vlo could always be found outside, embracing every adventure with enthusiasm. Whenever he was indoors, Vlo’s love for entertainment and creativity shone through. He was an avid fan of wolves, captivated by their strength and loyalty. He also loved the Harry Potter series, sports entertainment, and inspirational videos that taught lessons of kindness and perseverance. Although he didn’t cook very often, Vlo’s go-to recipes of rice, spam, and eggs, were made with love and always shared, even when he wasn’t entirely thrilled about it.
Music played a big role in Vlo’s life from Island Reggae to Hip Hop, Pop, and timeless classics like Michael Jackson- a playlist that reflected the people he loved. Though his time with us was far too brief, Vlorian lived in a way that many only dream of; vibrantly, and unapologetically himself. He didn’t just live life, he embraced it fully. His spirit of adventure, his caring heart, his infectious laughter and his love for God will forever be remembered. As we always say, “It’s never goodbye, I’ll see you later”, we promise to carry his spark forward-to see the world through his imaginative eyes, to laugh with his joy, and to love with his open heart.
A celebration of Vlorian’s life will be held at a later date, with details to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks to continue to keep Vlorian in your prayers. May his adventure continue in the stars. Rest in love, Vlorian. You will always be our brightest light.
