Schenectady- Wallace F. Button, 89, passed away on October 13, 2021 after a long illness.
He was born on February 10, 1932 son of the late Earl and Emma Button.
Wallace was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He was known as Mr. Fix It and could make and fix anything. He enjoyed camping up north in NY during the summer and camping in Florida in the winter. Wallace will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Florence M. Button; daughters, Vickie Stirzaker, Barbara Downs; grandchildren Michael Downs, Meagan Button; great grandchildren, Lucas Russell, Carter Downs and other extended relatives.
Wallace was predeceased by his 2 brothers.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 10-11am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
