Halfmoon - Walter J. Herald "Joe", 84, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024, at his residence with his loving family by his side. Walter was the son of the late Walter J. & Margaret V.(Beauregard) Herald. Joe was the devoted husband to the late Lillian S. (Thomas) Herald of 59 years.
Joe and Lillian were communicants of St. Augustine's Church in Lansingburgh, NY. Joe enjoyed spending time with his entire family. Joe was a truck driver for fifty years, he had a passion for big trucks. He enjoyed spending time with his wife Lillian at their residence in Florida and traveling the country.
Joe is survived by his two children, daughter Connie Herald and son Joe C. (Cheri) Herald; granddaughters Nicole Herald-Harper and Amanda Herald (Tom); Great grandchildren Mason, Cole, Dean and Delaney Harper; Sibling, brother George A. (Eileen) Herald; sister in law Bonnie Herald. Joe is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Joe is predeceased by his two brothers, Homer J. and James T. Herald.
It is Joe's wish that no services be held at this time.
