ALBANY- Walter S. Beck Jr., 60, of Albany, passed away suddenly on Tuesday November 3, 2009 at his residence.
He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Walter S. and Mildred Arner Beck Sr. Walt had worked as a clerk for New York State Higher Education Department for over 25 years, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed music and playing the guitar.
He is survived by his brother, Mike (Mary Ellen) Beck, his sister Sue (Bill) Barber and his nephew Karl W. Barber. Walter is also survived by many dear friends.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 7 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Walter S.
