Albany- Walter C. Thorpe,79, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Walter was the son of the late Walter Emmet and Martha Thorpe.
Walter loved fishing, listening to music and enjoying times with friends and family. Walter's strong faith in the Lord helped him in his challenges throughout his life.
Walter is survived by his children, Angela (Arthur) Joiner, Walter (Euodias) Thorpe and Arthur (Octavia) Thorpe; and sister, Mildred Wallace.
Walter is predeceased by his daughter, Debra Thorpe-Rucker; and sister, Emma Berry
Friends and relatives are invited to call at New Comer Funerals and Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 am . Interment will follow the service at Graceland Cemetery.
