Colonie- Waltrudis "Trudy" M. Cleveland, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 16, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Martin and Magdalena Gekle. She is predeceased by her husband Leon Cleveland.
Trudy was a devoted mother and wife taking care of her husband during his illness. She loved cooking and baking for her family and friends and was devoted to the Catholic Church throughout her life. One of her many enjoyments were spending time with her family and friends.
Trudy is survived by her two sons, Chuck Cleveland of Colonie and Paul Cleveland (Regina) of Latham. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Joseph of Albany and Jennifer of Latham as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her two sisters Mrs. Paula Wippich and Josephine Gekle "Sister Segis Berta".
A memorial mass for family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 12:00pm at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Drive, Albany, New York 12211. Interment will follow the service at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
