Warren L. Van Ness

Warren L. Van Ness passed away on September 4, 2018 at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Warren was born September 3, 1954 in Albany, New York to Jennie Van Ness and the late Charles Van Ness of Chatham, New York. Warren attended the Albany Public School system, he was employed at the State of New York, and retired from Albany Medical Center as a PSA.

Warren was a lover of fishing and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Linda Van Ness; his mother Jennie Van Ness; children: Jahid and Unikia Cross and Unaysha Cross; his Aunt Kate Agee; sister Desiree 'Desi' James; and two brothers, Kevin Van Ness, of Albany, NY and Charles Van Ness of Detroit, Michigan. Warren also is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Warren also leaves to cherish his memories, his grandchildren: Uniyah, Jahid, Tyniayh, Ah-zahvion, Jania, Tynana, Dermani, Ah'siah, Chayse, D'ori which was the highlight of his days. They will miss, grandpa, poppy, pop pop.

Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 pm on Monday, September 10 at Revelation COGIC, 258 Orange Street, Albany, NY. A funeral service will be held at 12 pm at the church. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Albany, NY.
