Albany - Wayne Warren Anderson, 65, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on Friday, July 29, 2022.
Born in Albany, New York on October 4, 1956, he was the beloved son of the late Dian (Davis) Anderson and Frank Anderson Sr. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers Jarrett and Lance, sister Danna and his lifelong companion Net. Wayne was also the loving big brother to Frank Jr. and Jon. Also surviving is his stepson Jahid. His nieces and nephews, Shamiara, Javarri, Isiah, little Jon, Isaiah, Nicholas (Nickie), Imani, Autumn, Elias, Joy, Franchesca, Alayna, Damon, Donyale, and Rafael. Several great nieces and great nephews.
Wayne worked as a Quarter Master for the New York State Police where he retired after 32 years of service. He started at Troop G in Loudonville, NY shortly after graduating high school. He then served as Quarter Master at the state police academy on the state campus. He later finished his career as Quarter Master at the State Police Capital unit. Wayne loved spending time betting horses at the local OTB and Saratoga racetrack. He spent the last six months of his life caring for his Big sister Danna.
Services are Friday, August 5, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 12 to 1 p.m. Interment, Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
