East Greenbush - Wayne Dusenbery Sr., 81, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was the son of the late Ernest and Ruth Dusenbery, and sister of the late Dawn Holdinga. Wayne was the devoted husband to the late Louise Degener Dusenbery. They were married for 51 amazing years. He was also predeceased by his beloved dog Lexi.
After graduating from Maple Hill High School, Wayne enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served from 1961-1965, when he was honorably discharged. Wayne went on to work as a Pressman for Hamilton Printing Company in Castleton, New York until his retirement in December 2003, after 37 years of employment.
Wayne most enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports. He was an avid New York Mets and New York Giants fan, and also enjoyed Saturday nights at Lebanon Valley Speedway. He enjoyed vacationing in York Beach, ME and traveled annually to visit his sister in Owen Sound, Canada. For the last 20 years he spent two weeks every year in Surfside Beach, SC with family and friends.
Wayne is survived by his children, William (Tina) Keenan, Christina (Keith) Lezatte, Kimberly Keenan, and Wayne (Jackie) Dusenbery; grandchildren, Kenneth (Amanda) and Kale (Emily) Tremont, Ashley (Charlie) DiLorenzo and William "Bud" Keenan, Kasin (Tyler) Young and Kamryn Lezatte, Jack Dusenbery, and Lindsey DeCamp; great grandchildren, Kooper, Karter, and Kenzi Tremont, Kadighan and Kennedy Tremont, Kanleigh Young, Kash Keenan, and Emma Abdou; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Friday August 4, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a funeral service to begin at 7:00 pm. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Wayne's name to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, New York 12204, or to your local Hospice organization.
