Guilderland – Wayne F. Campbell, 71, passed away at home Saturday September 20, 2008 surrounded by his loving family.

Wayne was born in Albany the son of the late William and Alethra Campbell and was a lifelong area resident. He proudly served in the US Army from 1955 to 1958. Wayne was a man of many talents and had numerous jobs throughout his life, most recently he had retired from Earl B. Feiden's as a salesman. He was a real Scottsman, who enjoyed being a Ranger at Briar Creek Golf Course, attending the Scottish Games and he loved to golf. He was an avid Yankee and Giant fan, but he was an even bigger fan of his grandkids, who lovingly referred to him as "Poppy".

Wayne is survived by his wife Mary (Winnie) Campbell, his children; Ronnie (Tina) Fountain, Debbie (Ron) Howansky, Tammie (Michael) Royce, Wayne (Dawna) Campbell II, David Fountain and Hope (David) Mann, his grandchildren; Ronald, Jessica, Amanda, Ronnie Jr., Christopher, Lisa, Wayne III, Alina, Doug, David, Dylan and Nicole. He is also survived by his brother William Campbell and sister Melanie Dobies and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters; Donna Cranell and Heidi Phillips.

The family would like to thank Dr. Mehdi and the nursing staff of the Stratton VA Medical Center for their care and kindness.
