COLONIE – Wayne W. Cuzdey, 53, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Born in Albany, he was the son of Katherine L. Cuzdey and the late Peter J. Cuzdey, Jr.
Wayne worked for 10 years with the City of Albany, and 10 years with Metweld in Altamont as welder. In his free time, he enjoyed taxidermy and was an avid outdoorsman. Wayne was generous, kind-hearted, and lit up a room wherever he went. He was always a jokester.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Annette Saglimbeni Cuzdey; stepson Peter (Cynthia Morgia) Heim; siblings Gary S. Cuzdey, Peter J. (Shelly) Cuzdey, III, Terence Cuzdey, Carl (Diane) Cuzdey, Gail A. (Robert Haggerty) Sorel, Lisa (Thomas) Schickle, Lorrie Cuzdey and Scott Cuzdey; brother-in-law and sister in law Brian and Maria Peltz, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Services will be held Monday morning at 9:00 am from the funeral home, then to Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
